Anyone who votes for someone other than Nick Folk should have their account suspended until they learn some sense. Not only does he bang home those game-winners, but he hits a beauty of an onside kick to set it up PLUS three other field goals throughout the game. If this had been a playoff game, we'd be talking about Folk's performance like one of the classic Vinatieri performances.
Honorable Mention: Bradie James. It seemed like Bradie was all over the field tonight. He had several nice stuffs on Marshawn Lynch on short-yardage dives. The defense did what it was supposed to do against a group that can't produce much, but Bradie was individually impressive.

I loved TO's comment on Folk, "He hit the longest field goal in history, 106 yarder yarder. haha he had to kick it twice"

I'd say Folks first choice. Witten second choice, he had almost 10 receptions!! Bradie is also a very good honorable mention. He's really coming into his own!!

Folk. He might single handedly ended the myth of NOT drafting a kicker.

Has a rookie kicker ever made the Pro Bowl before?

that's hillarious! Can you imagine that. I bet he's in the running after last nights game for offensive rookie of the year. Maybe Folk gets offensive player of the week.

I voted Folk, but Newman or the rest of the defense could easily take the honor. Newman made several good plays to make great tackles plus that INT which gave us a chance again, and kept points off the board to keep us down. Our D played outstanding. Held them to only 3 points. The whole D could make a case for MVP as well. But the Kicker ultimately won the game for us by making 4 FG's including the GAme winner, which we havent seen a Kicker do that hardly ever it seems.

I was concerned about entering the season with a rookie kicker. I visited training camp in San Antonio and Folk was outstanding and it was obvious he would push or take Grammaticas job.
Do you guys realize that the only kick he has missed since putting on a Cowboys helment was that blocked FG at Chicago? Even in practices and pre-season, he has never missed. His accuracy is un-canny.
But none the less, I was concerned about how this rookie would react in hostile territory with the game on the line. Would he choke and pull? Would his nerves and the crowd get the best of him?
Nick Folk showed a lot of professionalism and maturity last night. He put my fears to rest.........TWICE.
He displayed the whole package, a picture-perfect, text book onside kick and a game winning 53 yarder to give his team the win.
Romo may be the second coming of Favre........but Folk is the next Vinateri!
PS...Big difference between Favre and Romo......Favre would not have recovered from that many mistakes and still put his team in position to win in the final seconds. I don't think anyone could have recovered from that many mistakes like Romo made.
It was a total ROMeltdown. But he still got the win.

whats so funny is earlier in the season this situation was brought up here. Everyone was opposed to having Folk instead of Gramatica because what if he had to kick a game winner like last night. Guess he proved you guys wrong!

i'm suprised not to see Bills coach prick Moron on the list. he should get something for handing us the game. that was one of the worst coached games i've seen. by the way, our kicker is good.
