[I think this would be real slick of Jerry and Cuban to work this out this way. A slick way to go after James and not have Cuban get in trouble. They are right...There is not a dang thing Stern could do about it either. I LOVE that part because I HATE Stern. He is an idiot who has slowly hurt the game. Anytime I get to see anyone stick it to Stern and take away some of his power and knock down his Ego some I am all for it. Jerry could throw in a little Box Seat Season Tickets to James. How sweet would that be?]
Owner Mark Cuban gets fined if he talks about the Mavericks interest in LeBron James.
Jerry Jones is another matter. What can NBA commissioner David Stern do to him? Nothing. Maybe Cuban could join forces with the Cowboys owner in the recruitment of James.
"Mark Cuban doesn't need me to do anything but carry his bag for him,'' Jones said. "They stand tall with what they can bring to the table, for any basketball player, LeBron included.''
James is a huge fan of the Cowboys and attended a game last season in the new stadium. Jones and James know each other.
"I got a chance to be a speaker at his party at the NBA All-Star game,'' Jones said. "I don't know when I've felt any better about being asked to do something.
"I appreciatre the fact he's a Cowboys fan. He's a credit to sports.''
