There have been 733 players selected out of the SEC in the draft. More than any other conference.

Wondering which SEC school has the most players in the NFL? Wonder no longer. The answer is -- Georgia.

According to NFL statistics, 2008 opening day rosters of NFL teams showed 36 former UGA players; 35 former LSU Tigers; 34 Tennessee Volunteers; 30 Florida Gators; and, 27 Auburn Tigers. Of course the SEC, with 259 total players in the NFL led all NCAA conferences -- again.

By the way, Georgia's QB Matt Stafford was taken #1 overall by the Lions. Georgia had 2 players picked in the first round; Ole Miss also had 2. Overall, the SEC led all conferences (again) with 8 players taken in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft.

4 of the top 6, and 6 of the top twelve will be big 12 this year. Never, EVER seen that kind of top heavy draft before.

Ok, and your point would be? How has the Big 12 faired against the SEC? I recall Texas just losing to Alabama on the big stage. :D

And they should build a statue of Colt right next to Saban's statue to thank him for sitting the game out. :)

NO, but it is hard to argue with the depth of talent in the SEC.

Trust me, I was going for Texas, I hate what Saban did to Miami.

I agree with your second point, no one can mess with the speed in the SEC.

one would think that with all that talent it wouldn't have been since 1980 for the Bulldogs to win a national championship.;)

One would realize that all that talent wasnt on the team all at the same time. Also, theyve been screwed more than once. Dont get me started on the BCS. Its BS.
