How do you use a custom avatar?

Just wondering how does a person use he or she's personal avatar...Ive tried but it wont let me pick mine it only allow's the sites ones to be used!! Am I not seeing exactly what I should be doing or is there not a way....:confused:

Im not sure if it is the same for mods and members but go to your user cp and edit avatar. On the bottom it should let you upload your own, but it says it needs to be 80x80 size, so maybe thats the issue?

See it doesnt let you do that New as a member......:confused:

I think that it sounds like only mods can customize it. PM Joe and see what he says about it.
