Play games part 2!! Now I know at least for last year that there are some members that play games, So I though I would do what I did last year and run down some great games that have come out in the last few monthr in time for Christmas.

Uncharted 2: I do not own a PS3, but man does this look like a great game. The gameplay looks great and the graphics are the best the consoles have ever seen (oncfourse PC graphics look better, but that is not fair). I want to get a PS3 for this game alone.

KZ 2: I know it came out at the begining of the year but this too looks sweet, If you already have a PS3 you probably have this game now.

Call Of Duty MW2: The first was excellent and this one is as good if not better!

Halo 3: OTSD: I love Halo so this is a must buy for FPS fans and Halo Fans alike

Assassins Creed 2: I enjoyed the first and this one is just so much better. This is one of the best games of the year, NO DOUBT!

Forza 3: I like racing games and this simulation racing game improves on the secons in every way, especially in the graphics department.

There are more games I missed I know. And Side note, a few months ago I got a new computer and it has been great, I can play Crysis on full settings with 2X AA, and 1080p. Great game, I know it came out in 2007 but it too is a must buy for PC owners with a Duo Core, 4 Gigs of ram and a decent graphics card could play the game at high settings. My graphics card was only $130 but is can play Crysis at the settings I described above and still get great Frame rates (though I do have a quad core and 8 gigs of ram).

Right, I forgot those 2 games. Borderlands surprised me, it came out of nowhere for me. And Left 4 Dead 2, I played the demo on steam and man is that one fun game, better then the original. There are freaking chainsaws for crying out loud!

I have seen some at GameStop used for $129. I think I might try that.. I am thinking about not buying another after this.. he is getting to the age that if it quits again that he can work and buy his own lol..

Yeah That is why I have never understood how some fans of Xbox 360 can actually say it is a better system. Well sorry but it's actually not. PS3 doesn't over heat and blow up on you. How long has the 360 been out now??? They still keep pumping out those consoles with the same problem. Cross your fingers while you play and hope to God you don't get the "Red Ring" of Death.

I mean I have all 3 consoles myself but mainly for game exclusive reasons only. For me I hardly ever use my 360. I use my PS3 more and never have to worry about it frying on me. Looks like 360 was so intent on getting their system out before everyone else. Well they are paying for it now aren't they. Do you know how many lawsuits they are fighting over this?

Yea, I agree Adam sadly. I still enjoy the 360, it is going well interms of graphics for a 4 year old machine but the hardware is does break down from time to time. The thing is too noisy. That is a big reason I bought a PC. It is A super powerful though my g card is not the best but is can play Crysis on full settings so that means it is a beast. I mainly got a Computer because it will be a whilw till another console comes out so I wanted to upgrade in the graphics department

The PS3 has no noubt become a great system. It had a slow start but is coming along. Though I am sort of switching to PC now, games are $10 less, look better, free online that is better then any of the consoles. PC has been and always will be better then consoles, I knew that a while ago. Though they are expensive, but they are used for multi purposes. I still love the 360 though with Halo and stuff.

I guess I am not in the clear, mine is 3 years old and I take it to the cabbin every summer so it gets vibration too. I hope it does not break.

Side note, I will get a PS3 in the 2010 summer, probably.

Ok, well, this is my list of games I now own for PS3

Madden 2010 - What can I say its Madden, I get more game time out of this game then any other one I have.

MLB 09 The Show - One of the best baseball games Ive ever played, but I still miss the All-Star series from Acclaim.

Black Site: Area 51 - beat it in like 3-4 days very disappointed after the first one was so good.

Modern Warfare 2 - Online is great, Single player is as good or better than COD:4

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - GREAT game, already beat the Anti-Reg story line and started the Pro-Reg.

Smackdown vs Raw 2010 - This game is ok, a lot of new features, but very online driven (my PS3 wont go online where I currently am)

COD:4 - This game got me into FPS online, Halo was gay and way too unrealistic. This game is everything you would want in a FPS and more.

No offense, but were not 12 years old "mine is better" anymore, and the "console wars" get on my nerves. Well I did not do Barber this time for 2 reasons. 1 I have done Barber for almost the last 2 years now. Time to mix it up a little bit. 2...Not one person on here has a Sig of Jenkins. Not a one I tell ya. So he is really playing well for his very 1st year starting IMO. So I wanted to promote him a little bit.

Not to mention my good friend who owns StarStruck sent me a bunch of new backgrounds She was working on so I grabbed one from Her. If you had not noticed a lot of my Sig have StarStruck on them. I give Her advertisement since She has taught me a lot on how to make killer Sigs over the years.

She is a good person. Some of my Sig;s I have made in the past are up on Her site as well. We became really good friends about 3 years back and She lets me use Her software a lot of the time to make my Sigs when Photo Shop does not have what I am looking for.

This time I kind of went simple with it but I really worked on the Colors which I personal think came out awesome. I LOVE the deep Blue Colors.

Nope not one person Newman told anyone to not support the 360. we were talking about people that we actually know that have the 360...myself included that have suffered the "Red Ring" of death. I am just baffled why they just can't fix it already.

Honestly every time I use my 360 I say a little prayer that it won't blow up on me. If it did I would be pissed. It does not happen to every 360. Hopefully I am one of the lucky ones that it will never happen to. Because I bought it when it 1st came out and was at it;s highest price. Ugh!

Dont Worry Newman, No one bashed any system. I, as you know, own the 360 and enjoy it. The points Adam makes are valid. The 360s do have a tendency to break from time to time. Still I am sure no one here believes that any system is a bad system. They are all good in their own right. I too hate console wars. Most of the posts so far dont talk about the differences between the systems.

I hate that they force you to have to connect to their server just to play a game in Single player mode. I do not have a problem with companies using services such as Steam to verify a game is legit and not stolen during the installation process. But I hate that you have to constantly verify your game every time you go to launch it.

When My PC crashed and I reformatted my hard drive it was such a pain in the @ss to get and activate all my Steam games all over again. I had no problems and no headaches with any of my non-Steam games.

I also do not like to purchase games through them. Meaning I do not like to buy a game and Down load it. I like to have a hard copy (CD Disk) of all my games. Not to mention most games now a days are Huge. Even with top speed DSL it takes way to long to down load them.

The games you download are larger then they would be if you bought a hard copy. Unfortunately games like COD MW2 you must use steam. Probably the reason i will use it on my 360 and also because I know more people on 360 too. Yea, I figured that a Valve game would need steam. But a big reason I dont download games is a) their games have issues running some times, and b) I dont want my HDD to be full in 1 year.

Yeah they will fill up your HDD in no time for sure. I like to have the CD Disk copy and as they come out with updates and add on packs I just download those and copy them on a disk for later. Yeah Valve is a big time Steam user. I am so glad that not every game company uses them. I was afraid they might.

There are a lot of people that do not like the whole Steam concept and being forced to use it. I guess you are not really forced. You don't have to buy the game and then you don't have to use it. But some of the games I want to play badly so I just put up with it.

Yea, no DSL would be a huge problem. I got FEAR 2 a hard copy and I had to verify it though steam and I dont know what the hell it was doing. It was downloading something from steam and that was 2 hours, I have a fast computer and fast internet. Now when I want to play it I have to open steam, and the disc does nothing now. I might as well throw it away. I thought that was dumb, I got the disc because I did not want to use it through steam. But you have to, and I dont know why. So my case is collecting dust, and it filled my HDD up more.

When I think of it more I hate steam. That whole thing with FEAR was dumb and unexpected. But oh well, I can live with it. At least I still can play it, If I had no DSL I would be so pissed.

Yes I am. I have the 1st 2. Diablo 2 is still the best RPG ever made IMO. Ice Wind Dale was another good one. I have played that game all the way through so many times I think I have it all memorized. I am also looking forward to Bioshock 2.

Electro I have both Fear games as well. They were cool but kind of short IMO. I also have all the Crysis games and have played them all through.

What did you think of Crysis? I thought it was good. Most people think the only good things about Crysis and Warhead are the graphics, I say no. The suit makes the game great I think.

I am looking forward to FEAR 3 whenever that comes out I assume there will be a third the way the second ended.

Bioshock 2 is another I am looking forward to as well. The first was one excellent game.

Diablo 3 was supposed to come out at the end of this year, beginning of next. I heard it got pushed back though.

Well, I just got X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Godfather 2 from Gamefly. Godfather 2 is ok, its very repetitive, but its kinda fun. Wolverine is a good game also. Both games are entertaining, but nothing special. Still cant wait to get Arkham Asylum.

IGN gave the PS3 version and 360 version a 6.8.

I watched one of the gameplay vids and I wasnt impressed. Guess you just have to be into that kind of game.

I agree with Eric. The reviews have been bad, ranging from 56% on the wii and 63% on the PS3, those are the average scores. But to each their own. Graphics looked bad too.

Now that Ive seen the trailer for the movie Im especially against the game. In the movie the humans are trying to force the Avatars to leave their land so that they can mine it for a rock that sells for a lot of money. In the game you play as the humans. Shouldnt that be the other way around? Just seems to me in principle to be backward. Seems a lot like what the settlers did to the Indians. Maybe thats why Im offended.

Well I have not actually got the game yet guys. My neighbor has it. Hopefully I'll get it today and check it out if I get time on my laptop. I hate playing games on my laptop though. I forgot my mouse for the trip and I hate playing with the built in mouse on the laptops. Those things are a mess and I feel retarded using my finger to move around everything. LOL

All I honestly have to go on right now is what the Mag's rate the game and what my neighbor tells me. My neighbor likes a lot of the same type of game I do and he is really enjoying it. I never let a Mag or game forum's review stop me from buying a game just because they do not like it. Now I do take their opinions in to consideration.

I remember when Doom 3 and the expansion pack came out...a lot of Mag's and forums gave it an very average score or review. I got the games anyways and to this day they are in my top 5 favorites game wise.

Eric about maybe not liking the game because it is backwards from the movie...I don't care really. First off I have not seen the movie yet. So the game can't possibly screw that up for me. Second...as long as a game has great graphics and is just put together well and keeps up my interest and entertainment level...I don't care how close or real a game is compared to a movie.

The past problems with Movies made in to games for me is the track record has been horrible. Meaning the games are usually rushed out in time or close to the Movie being released. Most game developers that make Movies in to games are not the bigger game making franchises anyways. So most past Movie Games have been lame and put together messy full of bugs and crap.

I don't know if Avatar deals with all of these issues or not? I may crack it open and find out I am disappointed and don't really like it once I really get in to playing it for a while. But all I know is my neighbor really seems to like it and he is very picky about games like I am. All I know is I have watched him play some of it. Not a whole lot of it mind you but bits and pieces...and from what I have seen of the game the graphics are Sweet. Now I'm not talking PS3 or 360 graphics. I am talking PC graphics which are always better than the consoles. So I asked for it on the PC.

Besides I would not go out and drop $50 bucks right now on the game if I was buying it for myself. I would wait for it to come down some before buying it for myself. I only buy new games when they first come out that I REALLY REALLY want and must have NOW! LMAO. So since it is a gift to me I honestly have nothing to lose if I end up not liking it. I'll get to playing this week some and have to get back to you on my over-all true feelings on the game as a whole. Capiche?

The Avatars are like the American Indian and the American troops are like the first settlers that ran the Indians off. Which side would you rather be on? I realise this is just a game, but this is my problem with America. No sense of principle or right and wrong.

In case any of you are RPG fans and haven't played it, allow me to recommend "DragonAge: Origins." Been playing it for two months now and can barely stand to put the controller down. It's basically Mass Effect meets Lord of the Rings.

Yep, I have it for the PC and it is too awesome. Mass Effect 2 is supposed to be amazing.

Also, just started to play Diablo 2 again, that game is too awesome!

I have played Diablo 2 through to the end so many times I have lost count Electro. That is one game that always stays on my PC. I never uninstall it. One of the best games ever made IMO. Can't wait for Diablo 3 to come out.

Diablo 3 is supposed to come out in 2011 at some point. That will be awesome. I saw Diablo 2 in Best Buy the other day, that game is 12 years old and it is still sold today. No game has ever done that.

The only thing I hate about Dragon Age is the alternate world. In one of the missions you have to go to some alternate reality or world, and it sucks. Alternate worlds usually suck. Here it is no different, I have not gone past that point.

I love Dante's Inferno, I dont know if any of you have played it but its AWESOME! Ive already beat it, but Im going back through it on a harder level. If you havent tried this game download the demo, :D
