Well, I just got back from Georgia last night. I spent 5 days down there. Loved seeing my family and friends for Thanksgiving. I had a great time watching football also. Got to see UGA stomp on GT in their house, that was AWESOME! I missed the Dallas game because I had to get my brother for Thanksgiving dinner. Then I left yesterday. I was headed back home on I-85 in the left hand lane. I saw the guy in front of me stop suddenly so I slammed on my brakes to avoid hitting him. I lost control of the rear end of the car. I swirved into the right hand lane and I was hit by an RV. My car did a 180 and went into the guard rail. I bounced off the rail and back into traffic, once again hit by the same RV. Thank God no one was hurt. This happened in North Carolina. I ended up driving the car all the way home.

Yeah, it was scary. My cat was in the passenger seat and he was shaking afterwards. :(

I bet you were too. Least I would have been. How long did it take to get things squared away before you were able to get on your way again?

Man that sucks big time Eric. You know how I know how it is to be in a car accident. You were very lucky to come out of it injury free. I wasn't so lucky. I still have problems with my leg and collar bone.

Anyways glad you are OK and back with us.

The fiance and I had a 12-hour drive down to Mississippi over Thanksgiving as well. It was such a blast to see my family and get to spend some time with my cousins (and their children). We didn't have any close calls or anything like that, but I wasn't able to sleep the night before we left so I was on the verge of falling asleep for the majority of the trip down there. That's a terrible feeling for 12 hours.

Glad to see everyone is okay.

DC, I was on the side of the road for what seemed an hour. Thank goodness the car was drivable. I would have been stuck in NC for the night. The good thing is I had full coverage on the car and my personal insurance is going to cover the RV.

Glad to hear everyone made it out ok. I was too in GA with family and decided to leave Monday because I noticed a lot of bad drivers out Sunday and the traffic was heavy.

On a side note: I don't envy you for taking your cat with you down to GA. I have two cats, and one of them will NOT shut up when he's in the car. He would scream the whole trip down. I set them up with a bucket full of food and a big bowl of water when I leave (and I have a buddy swing by every couple days and make sure they're okay).
