Will Wade regret nicknaming himself?
Wade Phillips dubbed himself "Mr. Fix-It" yesterday, referring to his ability to turn a flawed defense into dominant real quick.
"That's what I do for a living," Phillips said.
TV types have filed that sound bite away. You'll see it as soon as the Cowboys give up 30 points.

I like a Coach who speaks highly of himself and then backs it up.
OK Wade, put up or shut up time.

Wade has already proven that time and again. EVERY stop in his NFL career he has netted a top 5 defense in his first season, and stayed in the top 5 for his entire tenure.
New Orleans
Buffalo
Denver
San Diego
Look at thier defenses when Wade phillips was either the Head Coach or the corrdinator. He has proven himself again and again.
The only difference is this time he inherited a defense that is loaded with natural talent and abilities. Something he has never had before.

I love it and applaud Wade for having the Confidence in himself to make a statement like that. That is what you want in a Coach. You want a Coach who absolutely believes without a doubt that he is the man. It was not to long ago that we had a Coach who was pretty Cocky himself. His name was Jimmy Johnson. The players feed off of that confidence and buy into the system and want to play hard for a Coach like that. I am liking what I am hearing.
Now lets just see it played out that way on the field.
