I know this a little early to start this, but it really turns my stomach going into the first game this year without our best CB and knowing the backups aren't even really backups if you know what I mean. This position as really gotten thinner of the last few years and it only looks like its getting worse. I know and I'll be the first to say I was one of the many here rooting for maybe getting McFadden in next years draft but after going through this crap over the last weeks with Newman and not having a solid backup I'm really leaning towards a CB with our first pick in draft next year. I'm not sure who is going to be available through FA next year but man we really need to nail down a young CB that can help us out the next few years. Anyways thats just what I'm thinking as we are about to start the season, hope everything pans out.

CB WILL be #1 priority, DE if Canty and Spears have another average year, and WR because of age, and more because Glenn is just too beat up. Its never too early to look at prospects.

Don't the Boys still have their #1 pick in next years draft? I think they have theirs, but I'm not sure. If so, they can draft McFadden with the Browns pick and then draft a solid CB with the 32nd :P pick in the draft.

I like how that sounds. Here's hoping the Browns finish in the bottom 5 teams that don't need a RB. Who knows, maybe Reeves will step up this year!!!

Hell I'm not jumping off the bridge just yet, the Eagles managed to hide Lito Sheppars and Sheldon Brown for yrs as their all out blitzes and Pass rush caused those Average at best CB's to thrive in that aggressive defense and I'll be optimistic to think that the same theory will bode well for us..Get to the QB and Reeves will be fine!

I'm with you...get to the QB!

Unfortunately we are without Ellis and starting a Rookie at OLB.

I'm more afraid of who's going to be covering Shockey. Williams was toasted often by him last time.

Have you all been looking at the top WR's and CB's... to me it seems like it is a weak field for next year.. the CB's all seem to be tiny or slower..

and the WR's are small as well.. I know we need a faster WR... but I think Austin could become that if we could find a bigger WR to grow bout 2 years with Owens..

What do you all think?

Corner will most definitely happen.

My first three rounds will probably go:

Cornerback
Wide Receiver
Runningback - To share carries with the new starter Marion Barber because of the future departure of #21.

I will have my first mock draft published on the net within a week. I will post a link.
