Parcells wanted Giants GM job

It shouldn't come as a surprise, but last year former Cowboys coach Bill Parcells wanted to be considered for the Giants GM job. A new book details the Giants 2006 season with some interesting items concerining Parcells.

For several months I've said the Cowboys' players quit on Parcells, espeically in the last month of the season. Now, I wonder if Parcells quit on them.

I wouldn't be surprised if Parcells returns to the Giants after Coughlin is sent packing, he'll get money and that GM title to go along with it.

I don't think Bill quit on the Boys, but I do think he did get frustrated with them and I think it was time for Bill to go. However, when Jerry hired him, he was the right man for the job at that time. He left us in better shape than we were.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised either if Parcells would go back to the Giants. I don't think Parcells quite on us last year and neither did the players. When it was all said and done it boiled down to Romo's fumbled snap in Seattle in the playoffs.

Well yeah it did actually end with Romo's fumbled snap but...the collapse of our defense on a whole started in the Saints game and we never did recover from it.

That's fine with me if Parcell's wants to go back to NYG. I liked the guy as our coach, but he's just too old and stubborn now. He would play his way until it drove us into the ground, and didn't want to make changes.

Well my gut tells me that he is really done with Coaching. He is just to old now. I mean heck...the hours put in as a Coach is grueling and hard for a young guy let alone for someone the age of Bill. Now he may accept a GM offer if he felt it was right but I even doubt that.
