Fellas just throwing this out there that I heard on the Lunch Break from Nick Eatman that a possible compensatory pick from the Texans for the Playing time, games, INT's for Jacque Reeves could be coming. He led the Texans in INT's and played in all 16 games so, a 4th round pick may be coming our way BTW, you can't trade compensatory picks.

LC that is great news. I totally forgot all about Reeves and the pick we could get under the stipulation of him playing a full season. Thanks a lot for the reminder. With the slim picking we have this year in the draft a 4th is big to have.

I read on DC.com that we might get 2 compensatory picks this year. I am not sure where they will come from but we could get two somewhere between the 4-7 rounds. That with our others gives us 11 i think.

Yeah DC well we know we get that extra pick for the whole Pacman disaster from the Titans. Now with another pick for reeves it may be good to get some nice mid-round players on this team to fill some needed spots without having to break the bank open to do so.
We should get a pick for Julius Jones.

I'm sure Jerry is going to deal some of our existing picks so its not hard to imagine us picking near the top of round 2 or maybe late 1st round even tho they said they wouldn't cuz of the money factor

I could see us using a couple to get at least into the top of round 2, where several players name have been mentioned that see like.

I really don't think Jerry is going to move up much in this years draft. Now I do think Jerry will wheel and deal like he always does but I just don't think he will be trying to move up that far. If there is a player he really wants that falls some then I could see Jerry try to go after them...but otherwise I think it will be a pretty uneventful draft for us this year.

Adam I dont either, I think they highest he will move up would be say from the 51 spot to maybe the high 40's in the second round.. I just dont see anyone that would make him even want to go higher.

Well be careful now. We have 11 draft picks this year, presumably, right? Two problems arise with that: How do you pay for 11 draft picks? And how many of those 11 draft picks will end up making the team, anyways?
I don't think it's too far-fetched that Jerry makes a play to move up in the 2nd round, maybe to pick up one of those top wide receivers in case we only have one more year with TO. Or maybe even to get a big fat DT to free up a move to DE for Ratliff. Who knows? I think Jerry would be smart to trade some of those picks away and end up with more like 7 or 8 draft choices. Realistically only 5 or 6 will even make the team.

Zac were not saying he won't move around. We are just saying saying that we do not think he will move way up in the draft this year. I said that if there was a player that he really wanted that was in the second round or had fallen some I would not put it past Jerry to go after them. I just don't think we will be seeing Jerry move around as much as he usually does this year. Besides I really don't think Jerry has that great of picks to really offer a team to move that far up anyways. ...but I promise Zac to be very careful. LOL

Paying 11 draft picks of whom I would say several would not make the team, but using them for moving up would and could cost us much more, sense the thought would be that they could make the team an actually be paid.

I would move up to late 30s for William Moore...even though he had a down year and now is being questioned about how he would do as a FS we need a SS which he could become dominant at. If they feel we need another FS I like Darcel McBath from TT. The guy was very productive and he is projected as a later round pick.
