Tuna, Keyshawn talk Cowboys

Actually, Bill Parcells and Keyshawn Johnson touched on every team in the NFL during their ESPN Radio show last night.

The Tuna was non-committal about the NFC East race, saying it was a three-team fight between the Eagles, Cowboys and Giants. Sounded like he was leaning toward Philly. He called RB Brian Westbrook the MVP of the division and said Donovan McNabb's experience was a significant edge.

Keyshawn picked the Cowboys to win the East, but he didn't sound too sure.

Here's what they said about the Cowboys:

Parcells: "They’re going to be counting on Tony Romo. If he gets it done, I think they’ve got enough around him to do a lot of things offensively. Defensively, I think their Achilles’ heel could be the corner position, age-wise. And also the age of the wide receivers – Keyshawn, don’t get upset now – the age of the wide receivers is a little bit of a factor. And Greg Ellis being out of Dallas and not in the mix right now, his uncertainty I think will hurt them eventually."

Keyshawn: "I like the Dallas Cowboys in this division to win this division, but they have a lot of uncertainty across the board. You lose an offensive-minded coach in Todd Haley. He goes to Arizona. You still have some of the holdovers there, but you also lose your head coach. You bring in a guy like Wade Phillips, who track record-wise hasn’t gotten it done. But they have enough players. Coach Parcells left the cupboard pretty full. They have enough players in Tony Romo and Terrell Owens and Terry Glenn and Jason Witten. If Julius Jones can finally stop pouting and just run the football like his brother and play tough, the running game can be a solid running game."

Keyshawn has always been known to not keeping it real and not pussy footing around a problem. That is one of the things I respect about him so much. His comment on Julius Jones is right on. This is a NFL Football player with a lot of years of experience in the NFL. He also happened to play a lot with Julius. So even he backs up some of what us "Getting tired of waiting for Julius to show up" Cowboy fans are saying.

I agree with most of what the tuna had to say but I would not be so quick to rule out washington. I think every division game that is played this season in this division will be tough. I also think that the two wild card spots for the post season will come out of this east for the NFC.
