Who would you roll the dice on in the draft? I am not sure, sometimes I am like Macling then other times its all Harvin.
Harvin has been an awesome player since geez pop warner, Landstown High School u name it, but he has not been healthy constantly since then as well. He got in a little trouble in high school but nothing major.
Maclin health is concerning as well.

I hate to admit it but I would love to have Harvin, if nothing else, use his speed on PR.

Can anyone really trust a Gator wideout? Think of the history of speedy WR from UF bust after bust.

It does make it hard doesn't it BlueStar. You never know though. Maybe a trend can be broken? It does happen from time to time...except any player from LSU. LOL

UF players are all mainly busts. I mean, I do see the trend in WRs and QBs especially, but they just dont produce NFL talent. The last good player to come out of UF was Lito Sheppard.

That is why I lean towards Maclin.

I agree, I wouldnt mind having either as a 4th/5th receiver/Punt Returner.

I could live with either one.

Maclin is used to having return duties and he is a very dangerous WR/Return specialist. Harvin is a HB/WR so I gotta go with Maclin

Wasnt Harvin a returner when he was a Freshman/Sophmore?

Maclin all the way. He's not as polished as a WR, but his other skills make him a return demon.

If Harvin could stay healthy he would be nice , but I think he would be a luxury pick, something we don't have. He also isn't your stretch the field type wide out he is like a cross between a 3rd down scat back and a small WR. He is a real play maker, but like was mention he is well, frail.

We need someone more like Terry Glenn, he was really fast.. but also played at 198 lbs, so he wasnt that small. I just dont like getting some of the littler guys that cant seem to stay healthy.

DC...Kind of sounds like Austin doesn't it? LOL
Man I really hope Austin can have a break out year in 2009 and stay healthy. He has such promise but does us no good being hurt all the time. I really do like Austin but I hate his injuries all the time. They frustrate the heck out of me.

Well Austin is 6-3 and 217.. he has fast down field speed, but not the juke like Glenn.. Glenn could run in and out on the def and stay fast. Austin hasnt showed he can do that. he can just blaze straight ahead. I am talkng Glenn, Carolina - smith, skins -moss type guys. they are fast can cut and move but arent that tiny 170 lbs guys.
Glenn 5-11 195 lbs
Moss - 5-10 200 lbs
Smith - 5-9 listed at 185 but he plays much bigger.

DC is talking about a guy that can blaze a defense but is big and agile enough to be used in the middle of the field also.

OK then how about this...Doesn't really sound like Austin at all. Not sure why you brought him up in the first place. Silly guys.

What I am looking for is a 4th rounder WR that pays off big time for us.. like Choice, MBIII, Canty. We could use a break like that.

Neither Harvin or Maclin did much of anything to move there stock either way, but didnt do anything to really help themselves either.
I guess the main thing is trying to think that both would fall so far as that they would be a real option for us. Lets look at guys that would actually be around at that 51st position in round 2.
