I'm with Don on this one.

I agree; take a safety with the 1st pick.

I also said safety, but Id rather get a FS than SS.

I agree with the FS assessment. A ball hawker.

I would think a G or T might be the pick if we are excited about someone still on the board at 51.

Or, how bout this for a crazy idea. Move Mike Jenkins to FS. With the surprise emergence of Scandrick at CB, and if Pac Man keeps his head outta his butt, it might be an option.

We are on the exact same page.

Move Hamlin to the strong safety position and draft the ball hawk....Jenkins isn't physical enough to be safety...

Actually Jenkins was considered a safety/cornerback before he was drafted last year.

I'm really surprised not to see anyone vote quarterback on this one. With so many people who are so quick to say that Romo is not the guy, you'd think at least a handful of people would want us to draft a QB as high as possible... it is the most influential position on the field.

I voted safety for obvious reasons. Whether we keep/trade/release Roy Williams, I would at least like a 3rd guy to rotate in with either Williams or Hamlin, or a guy that could step in during an injury at either position and prevent us from losing too much of a beat.

CB.. for depth.. moving hamlin over and henry to saftey means we have a 30 something cb with only 2 others..

not sure 51 over all gets anyone high enough for the LT.. what we need is a guy to coach up the online so we can actually use the ones we have.

4th round I want another QB for training.. one in the mold of a Romo, so if ever used we dont have to down grade the offense so much.

Since we passed on Kenny Phillips we need a freaking safety. I truly think Roy Williams would have missed those tackles during the Ravens game. He has shown that he takes terrible angles.

even if Jenkins is physical enough...why would we move 2 of our CBs to safety during the offseason...Jenkins should stay at CB regardless... Hamlin did play exceptionally the year before at safety so we could get a SS that can cover like Michael Hamlin or Patrick Chung

I would go with which ever is better in the secound round......DON"T REACH! LB'er if not OL, if not QB!

Seems like the poll is pretty unanimous. Safety all the way around.

Not all the way around Adam. I think LG was the biggest reason for the offenses collapse. Free agency would be the best way to fill the spot, but if not I would go OL with the first pick. Holland looked pretty good, but he is not reliable. I can't remember the normal starters name, but he is starting to look injury prone. If a true NT was still on the board, I would take that over all the choices that were available. If we could have that and move Ratliff out to the end, Flozell and Big Davis can be the safeties.

The starter at LG is Kyle Kosier. It would be awesome to be able to move Ratilff to end, imagine that motor coming off the edge instead of through the middle. Problem is who would back up the NT?

I am the lone guy who said QB. Romo is good, really good but he really needs somebody back there to remind him that this is the NFL and nothing is guaranteed. He will continue to make bad decisions if he knows that it's going to be him in there as long as he doesn't get hurt. Last year he knew old man Brad and plays like he's still a rook Brooks were his backups and knew no way in hell they would bench him for either one of those. Bring in a young possible replacement because even if we don't truly intend on replacing him it is the NFL and a quality back up is a must and give Romo something to play good and minimize mistakes for, HIS JOB!!! Or we could just keep Brad and Brooks and continue to see Romo's poor practice habits and throws into double coverage and eventually his usual moping on the sidelines.

67 million is pretty much guaranteed until he is more cap friendly to do anything with.

I'm with you T.O.MA. If Brad Johnson is even given a roster spot next year, I will be severely disappointed. Why bother keeping a guy and paying him millions of dollars when you know for a fact that he's not the guy you're going to end up starting if Romo goes down again?

And personally, I just don't see any worthy quarterbacks in free agency this year. I really don't want another guy that is going to be washed up before we even get a chance to use him on the field. To me, that takes Kurt Warner and Jeff Garcia off the table even if they actually do end up in free agency. I want to bring a young rookie in here that will alleviate some of the stress that the team (and all of us) feel every time Romo is a little slow to get up.

Worst-case scenario, Romo picks up the pace and we end up trading the guy in a few years for a 2nd or 3rd (assuming he got some playing time and was impressive). I think it would be worth it.

agree Zac. we need someone that can actually play some ball. OMG i couldnt hardly finish the games that Brad came in and played..

There is no reason at all why Brad should be on our roster next year. If he is I will be pissed. He is totally useless to the club as far as I am concerned.

i said OT. although we need to address our S position, i think that OT is a position of dire need. Flo had a very bad year and i just think that Columbo is an average player. Columbo is not a knee bender (thanks to injuries) which is always a scary thing for an OT. Let's not forget that Flozell ain't no spring chicken.

I sure cannot argue with you that we need to start getting younger on the O-line soon especially and get some quality Back-ups now to work on. Good point Chumpy!

Columbo was our best Oline last year IMO and is very underrated. I do think we need to draft some Oline but not with our first pick. I like to think Flo's problems come from him having a revolving door next to him. With Kosier in there against GB he played well and I think having Proctor next to him made him nervous and affected his game. But we will see, maybe Free can push him to play better.
