This game has more meaning than I thought it would. Do we have the corners to go the whole season or are we forced to
go on the waiver wire? Can Crayton really be # 2? Folk has the chance to be the man, and we need our fullback.

I think this game will let us know what we already know, our backups are not adequate, and forget the waiver wires, or other people's scraps, we'll need to make a trade for someone capable. Glenn gets burnt too much, too small, and lost his step, more of a nickel/dime corner, and the same can be said about the rest.

I hope we can find a CB somewhere that can make a play every once in a while.
The duo of Taylor and Peterson is going to test our run D even more than last week. I hope they are ready for the challenge. Also looking forward to seeing Carpenter play a little more.

I got lucky! All the TV listings said that "Are you Smarter than a 5th grader" was on.

Thought I would check anyway, and sure enough the local FOX affiliate has pre-empted that and is showing the game!

I just misssed the TD by Urban.

On another note Joey Thomas 1 of our depth guys at CB just got burnt for 40 yards. Oh well..... :blink:

Nice to see another backup CB give up a play when we need them to make a play. Reeves gives up a 15 yard pass with 14 seconds left in the half, and on 4th down mind you. That puts the Vikes in field goal range (47 yarder) and they took the lead @ the half 17-14.
I hope Newman heals up enough to get back on the field and help the Boys secondary out. SOON....

Thank goodness it was only a pre-season game. I was impressed with Urban although I think he may get caught in the numbers game, hope I'm wrong on that.

I did not get to see the game but will later because I DVRed it. One thing I will say is I was not expecting to win this game. Once it was known that we would have hardly no starters in at all I knew we were playing this strictly to evaluate and nothing more. Yeah the guys out there want to win but but that is more of a plus rather than a must.

So the outcome of the game in no way dampers nor excites me one way or the other for the opener against the Giants.
