View Full Version : Our future drafts...

This season has been ONE dramatic roller coaster, honestly-I think since the playoff meltdown against the Giants, just SO much has happened that just took its toll on the entire team. IF we don't make the playoffs, I won't be dissapointed, b/c at least next year, we'll be entering the season with a LOW profile.
With that being said-our drafts post-Bill P, ESPECIALLY this year's, have been, very, very good. So far, all of them have stepped up and have shown potential to have long-term value for this team.
Was I dissapointed in the loss yesterday? Of course-but watching our 4th round rookie RB hold his own against the league's #1 D brought a smile to my face when all was said and done.
Anyhow-like I said, Bill P is long gone now, but our drafts have been very good since nonetheless. Do you think we can keep this up? If so, I really like the future this team is headed to.

Sorry man , I'm still playing the 'what if' scenarios in my head..frustrating to say the least..I think depth at the LB/ O-line/ safety position oh yeah and QB will be addressed.
I was happy about choice as well, not a homerun threat but quick enough to get to the second level in a blink of an eye...great p/up

I agree with you DC. Also would like to see them draft a young QB to work on in the mid to late rounds and keep him.

a young QB now would be good.. he would be 5 years behind Romo and if Romo got hurt a bit early in career like Aikman did.. (only 10 years) we would still be ready. And I want to say this.. we dont have to draft him. you get a very talented QB from a small school that is very smart. give him 3 years to grow and see the things with out him getting eatin alive.. they can learn.. Look no farther then Garrett. for the smart part.

Lots of good QBs out there, if one of the top 5 is out here we may want to take a chance with our 2nd, but I think we may want to be look hard at MLBs. Also safteys although again only if he's real quality and not a reach.

Mike Teel would be nice to pick up in the l8r rounds..or maybe the penn state kid...Daryl something...
if we go for a ball hawk fs there are a few that we could pick up in the 2nd round and I think Hamlin would do good at SS anyways...
Ron Brace from BC should be our third round pick...big body to spell Rat
