Roster move

The Cowboys have officially signed running back Arliss Beach after cutting punter Sam Paulescu for the second time in training camp.

Paulescu was first cut on Aug. 3 ancd re-signed on Aug. 14. He averaged 51 yards on two punts vs. Denver and also handled a kickoff. With Pro Bowler Mat McBriar ahead of him on the depth chart, he was expendable but he has a good enough leg to punt in the NFL.

Beach is expected at today's practice, but I'd doubt he'd be able to play Saturday against Houston with so little time in learning the offense.

Don't read anything into this. The Cowboys just want to protect their top three RB's during Game 4 of Pre-Season.

yeah he is just so that the other rbs dont have to carry the load for the last 2 preseason games and risk the chance of getting hurt

I'm sure these guys don't mind at least the get a chance to get on TV and showcase themselves to other teams.
