Guy's I finally got madden yeah a little late i know I haven't play franchise just 2 games online I'm having trouble with all the new features of speciall players against online players.

first when in defense online guys are stacking up the middle of the line moving lineman and lb 4 of them i nthe middle and putting pressure like hell I have contrast this with shootgun but have become 1 dimensional and usually have little time to find open receivers resulting i na lot of int and incomplete passes can you guys help me out

Madden 2009 will be a much better representation of this Dallas offense.

Here is what you can do Doncanabis.

I have pretty much what I call an "unstoppable" play. Its in the split backs formation with Hurd and T.O. on the right. (Not the split back with Witten in there). I'm not sure exactly what the play is called but when I go home I will update the post and let you know. Anyways, sub Barber for J. Jones for this formation. You do that by pressing X on the 360 Xbox (other systems I don't know). And then you Hot Route Hoyte into a right blocking assignment. (on X box you hit the Hot Route button at the line, then pick the player you want, then RB). You then hike the ball and usually you can immediately throw it to Hurd, but if they are stacking the line like you say I would scramble right and then wait till he gets 10 - 13 yards and hit him. If he is not open T.O. will be trailing behind him and he should be open. This will loosen the defense up and will switch to a more zone. Zone still can't stop this play, USUALLY. Once they switch to a more conservative defense then in the same formation pick the play HB blast. This will give it to MB3 and give you about 6+ yards most times. Believe me this works 99% of the time. The only time I have trouble with it is when teams have a hard hitting middle linebacker. Because they can light you up when you catch and force you to cough it up and therefore incomplete pass. But that only happens on a few of the plays in the game.

Another thing you can do is get into the I-formation and make sure you have the HB Slam audible. Again you put MB3 in there. Pick a pass play and hot route Owens into a hail mary, all out route. Just have him go deep. If the line is stacked it usually means that Owens will be 1 - on - 1. Nobody can stop Owens 1on1. If they stack then hike it and just throw it to Owens. Usually it should be a first down but lots of time it will be a touchdown. If they decide to move to a zone then you can simply audible to the HBSlam and MB3 will rack up some yards.

*REMEMBER THAT IN ALL OF THESE PASS PLAYS YOU NEED TO BE THROWING BULLETS OR ELSE THEY "WILL" GET INTERCEPTED* (For bullet passes you just hold down the button to who you are throwing it instead of tapping it)

Believe me this works. Anyone who has blitzed me since I have incorporated these plays has failed to stop me almost 100% of the time. In fact I was on a like 10 game winning streak until last night when I got drunk and lost to a guy who only scored field goals and an INT TD runback.

Once you have these downs then you will be able to try out new plays as they will respect you and get into more zone that you can tear apart. Try and only use them sparingly cause if you become predictable then they CAN figure out how to stop you by using defensive playmaker.

Yeah T.O.MA is 100% correct. We can't stress enough the bullet pass. If you get in the bad habit of just tapping the WR's button you will be Intercepted probably 65% of the time. The bullet is your best friend here.

The Half Back Blast that T.O.MA is referring to is a killer. I use it all the time and you just pick away and move down the field while eating away the clock. I love it. What ever you do DO NOT use Julius in the HB Blast. He sucks even in the game.


BTW...What you think about those graphics Don? Sweet eh?

The problems is that they play zone and Man because the don't do an all out blitz they just blitz with the 2 tackles and 2 ilb and they move the 4 on top of the center and when you hike usually 1 or 2 come free through the middle and tackle you in 2 secs.

The graphics are sweet I haven't play it a lot to see all the features but I really miss the 2k series I liked it the best.

hey maybe we can play online and you can give me some tips during the game.

i haven't won a game yet I'm playing unranked matches and lost in the last qtr all the time I play good defense but because I have zero offense it usually ends up taking it's toll at the end

OK I just want to announce that I just won my first ranked game by a 61-3 score thxs to an awesome defense .... I guess that in madden Defense wins games I had 15 sacks 1 fumble return for TD 6 int 3 return for td a thing of beauty

I just won my second game 32 -0 at halftime ( he offered defeat) ouuuch I just have to add that the 2 guys I've beat have less then 10 game experience in their record which is ok because I have 2
