I would love for them to have their bubble bursted. I just wish it had been us to knock them off their high horse. There is still over 10 minuets in the game and they are only down 1 TD so it is not over yet. Go Ravens.

stupid ravens, they deserve to lose after all that BS in the last minutes. sorry ass offense, and how many chances can they give the Patriots to convert a 4th down. UNBELIEVABLE.

Of course. Everyone has their nose planted up the Pats behinds. The Ravens are to blame just as much. You have the Pats stopped with 1:30 to go on your 35 yard line with 4th down and they blow it. I feel bad for Willis McGahee who played his ass off tonight.

Is it just me, or does it feel like the refs bail them out every time they are beat?

It is like the tuck rule all over again.

Fun fantasy football story...
I was down 11 ponts going into tonight, and we each had one player left to play.
I had Mcgahee and he had Moss! Auto loss right? I end up winning 103-102!!!

Plus... I don't think he had possession of that last TD.

No they didn't bail them out... on the first fourth and 1 Bal did ask a stupid timeout before the snap that cost them the game...... the ref even called a false star on 4th and 1 and made it 4th and 5 so you can't say the ref help them it ain't their fault Brady convert it and the other 4th down it was an illegal contact they just gave the game away

I didn't just mean the last drive...

That defense holding on 4th down was crap. It was contact, but it was so ticky tacky, and it decided the game. Ridiculous ticky tack calls in the secondary are killing the game.

Damn,,,, Looks like the NFL is turning into the NBA..... Gaffney was not in control of the ball as the book calls for. OOPS!!!!! I don"t think,,, so it has been Prue-ordained most of the year that they ( NFL) want the Patriots to win it all and go undefeated???? Seem like it to me.

However, if the coach wouldn't have interfered they might have still won it. I am a old 'Colt' fan and believe in fair play, but this was truly a travesty. I now believe the Pats will go undefeated for sure.

If we make it to the big game we don't have a chance because its Prue-ordained buy the NFL. How SAD with instant replay that cheating is still a factor in todays NFL.

I don't see the Patriots winning in the Playoffs, they have been taking to the edge with shitty teams in the Eagles and Ravens. Seems the Ravens followed the format of the Eagles, and it worked. Bad thing with these two teams is that the Eagles and Ravens have sh.t QBs that can't close out games. Just look at Feeley choking this past weekend again, idiot. and Boller is a joke. The Colts can totally beat these guys, maybe even Jacksonville, Pittsburgh too, maybe even the shitass Browns.

I just wonder why he isn't dominating now like he was earlier in the season? OH,l, hit him low and avoid the stiff arm, now he is less than JJ as the stats should show.
I love Marion the Barbarion but can't see the hate for JJ??? Whats the deal??

And that ref wanted to make that call before the play even started. No way were they gonna allow the Pats to lose.

Cuz he sucks. He used to be good, just watch some YouTube from his first 2 years, he is a totally different player. He ran insanely different from how he does now.

I used to be a JJ fan, but he is never returning to the good player he used to be. Now he is just an average running back that needs space to do anything. Barber is way better.

I also have to join the Conspiracy Theory club and have to agree the powers that be in the NFL are gunning for the Pats to win it all. They have been the past couple of years. They're in love with the pats. They'll get all the calls, as well. You can just tell.

BSchank
12-04-2007, 05:21 AM
Was the ref watching the same replay i was? Because the ball was moving in Gaffney's hand. I guess the Patriots don't have to have possession, just their feet in bounds.

Oh yeah and first it was Feely blowing their chance to win, now its Boller blowing the Ravens chance. They could've went up by two scores and he throws an awful pass!

scooterwright
12-04-2007, 05:24 AM
Sorry ,,, I don't u-tube,,, but if we make it to the superbowl he will be a bigger factor than MBIII. I don't love JJ I just seen his prowess. I have questioned his heart and hope he gets it going again. As for Barber he will hit you in the mouth and has the moves, but he is slow and easily caught.

Maybe next year we get a back that has it all !!

CowboyzAdam
12-04-2007, 05:44 AM
I know you were but every time a thread goes down the Julius or Barber road it always gets way off base from the original topic.

Anyways back on topic. The Ravens suck and the Pats have proven the last 2 weeks that they are not so perfect after all. There armor is starting to kink. I am happy with what I am seeing out of their play the last 2 games. I am also not so sure that we could not beat them if we did meet up with them in the Super Bowl. Thing is that the way the have been playing they may get beat in the play-offs. There is no guarantee they are going to the Big Dance yet.

Hey Boss,

the Ravens may suck but tonight they outplayed the Pats,,,, I used to included the Pats in my 5 fav's list,,, but now they are next to last with the Raiders.

It's hard to understand and I just cant see all the hype and cuddling for the Pats. They are a good team and beat us earlier.

lucky for them,, were a better team now as well.

kick ass boys, thinking i shouldn't say all that's on my mind tonight.

In my opinion, the Patriots have got 22 TIRED players on their team.

How many games have the Pats played this season where the scrubs should have been playing at least the last half of the 4th quarter... at LEAST. I think Belicheck has finally discovered the timeless truth that if you work your players too hard and don't give them enough rest, their muscles get weaker and they just don't perform the same.

When I was in high school, our coach was notorious for being one of the hardest coaches that you'll ever encounter at any level. Every day at the end of practice he would have us doing an insane amount of "conditioning." When I say conditioning, I'm talking about several laps around the field doing "bear-crawls" and that was just what we started out at. I can remember some guys dropping to the ground barely able to lift themselves back up by the end of conditioning.

My point of this story was that my school has always been known for having strong dominating games in the first half of the season but towards the end of the season we would never look like the same team. Always losing to teams that had trouble winning all season. 40 times were getting slower, the players couldn't lift as much weight in the weight room. My personal 40 times and benchpress maxes, for example, were ALWAYS higher at the beginning of the season and after the season was over. It never failed. By the end of the season, just getting out of bed was a painful experience. I felt slower and weaker, and I was. Just like everyone else on the team.

I believe that's what is happening to the Pats. They just don't have it in them anymore, and probably because their coach is pushing them to the point where their muscles don't have the chance to heal themselves. I refuse to believe a simple game-plan change is causing the Patriots who have an all-star offense to be losing to sub-par teams. There's an X-Factor here.

The main reason I was saying the Ravens sucked right now Scooter is because they had the Pats beat and they let them off the ropes to win the came. So I am pissed at them for allowing the Pats to remain unbeaten. So right now they suck. Well come to think of it they have sucked all year. LOL

CowboyzAdam
12-04-2007, 06:13 AM
I will say one thing Zac. I sure hope they are getting tired and worn out. It couldn't happen at a better time. Let them fade now going into the Play-offs. I'll take that. I do have a hunch your right though Zac.

HaHa, I just know how it feels to take the death walk out to the practice field after a long day at school and remembering how much easier that walk was 2 or 3 months ago at the beginning of the season. And the Pats just plain look tired to me. They don't have that spunk they had before. Sure there are better systems to beat them now, but those systems are being run by teams that are having trouble beating other crappy teams.

We'll know for sure in the next couple weeks. If they continue to play poorly I'll be a lot more convinced. But the one thing to look for is that Bye week that they will probably get in the playoffs. If Belicheck is smart and lets them rest at least a few days during that Bye, they could really come back swinging in the second round of the playoffs. I wouldn't count them out just yet, but I think this week and last week the Cowboys could have embarrassed them badly.

But then again I also think Dallas could have beaten them the first time if T-New was playing. Shut-Down corners are not the Patriots friends :)

There are plenty of reasons but I wont go into it because this is not a JJ/MB3 thread. What I will say is that injuries really hurt players. If you watch JJ before and after his injuries you'll notice a difference in his play. It hurts me to see because he and his brother are extremely talented. The same thing happened to one of my favorite rb's, Lee Suggs. Runningback out of VT with a lot of promise. A few injuries later, he didn't have the speed he used to have and couldn't find them holes anymore. His short NFL career came to an end with the Browns.

Anyways, I can't believe Baltimore lost that game. But I have to say it was worth it. Watching that one dude pick up the flag and throw it into the audience was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. When they showed the replay, I was with my buds cracking up so hard. I'm so glad I'm not a nevermores fan.

Why have both the Eagles and the Ravens decided to throw deep for no apparent reason when thye BOTH had teh patriots beaten? Astonishing how crappy football has gotten that teams, both playoff calibre teams just last year have both sucked so badly this year. You are driving up by 7 points on the best team I've ever seen...all you have to do is get in Fg range...YOU DO NOT NEED A BOMB FOR A TD! Both teams with two subpar QB's have seen fit to throw deep to Patriot DB's in cinsecutive weeks, thus blowing the game both times.
I won't even get into the mystery of a defenseive coordinator calling a time out on a Patriots bunch formation on 4th down. What on earth did the corrdinator not like about his matchup on 4th and 1? It was clearly a sneak or hand off to the FB coming....did he not like his cornerbacks matchup on that play?
Morons....and the pats will go undefeated this season, and both times they could've lost failed, because the opposing team is just plain stupid

Well, the Pats have two more games with teams that -- based on these last two games -- can beath them. This weeks upcoming game against the Steelers should be interesting unless Roethlisberger lets them down. Unless the Pats make some changes or adjustments this next game though, the Steelers are going to hand it to them.

I'll go ahead and assume that the Pats will beat the Jets and the Dolphins in weeks 15 and 16 respectively, but then in week 17 they'll have to play the Giants, who's playoff picture will probably come down to the 17th game and they should be playing hard.

I'll reserve judgement on whether I think they'll go undefeated this year, but while they looked to be the best team in history for the first 10 games of the season, they are definitely not the best team in history right now.

if thats the case it really doesn't matter. JJ will be gone after this year. hell, MB III may not even be here next time we play. it should be another 4 years before we play them again during the season. therefore i figured you meant the super bowl.

I watched that TD catch a few times now in the highlights, I seriously doubt that he caught that ball. should have been incomplete.
