i say the Ofense. we knew that they were gonna score points on us and that we would have to outscore them. i realize that 47 points is way too much, but the lack of offensive points is what doomed us.

I said D line the secondary is to blame too. Couldn't cover, couldn't make stands, couldn't make plays when we needed to. It was a disaster. Come the off season the secondary needs to be revamped Reeves just isn't cutting it back there. I don't know what the deal is with the D line that we can't get consistent pass rush.

It HAS to be the secondary. Our defensive line scored a touchdown, guys. They opened the door for us to get three sacks. Most of Brady's best throws came on quick passes that our secondary did a shitastic job of covering. The pass rushers didn't even have a chance to get there.
All you guys voting for "the whole team" are just being lazy. Our running backs (that's right, Julius too) had a fantastic game. The passing game was off, but far from terrible. We had great special teams work all night, including the big return by Thompson. Nick Folk didn't miss a beat either.
Put a little more thought into this, and it's clear that pass coverage was BY FAR the culprit in this loss.

The Secondary. Our d-line got a couple sacks, good pressure, and like Haynie said, they even scored a TD.

I say secondary as well, it looks like every time a WR runs a post in between our D the Safety and Corner aren't on the same page making us look really bad, not to mention having our LB's cover Welker in the slot..Oh man, they had our number. We looked like a dog trying to chase it's tail!

I voted the secondary.. they did great on Moss and let everyone else run through the defense like we were a bunch of school girls.....
the other two recievers
D. Stallworth 7 136 19.4 69 1 0
W. Welker 11 124 11.3 35 2 0
That is just way to much........

I voted the whole team.... but don't consider myself lazy at all.
Secondy was iffy for sure. But the ref back there was only a half-assed offical. That wasn't pass interference on Pat Watkins, he was at the collison point first and the receiver ran into him. And there were a couple pass interference calls that should have went against them but they weren't call. And I CANT BELIEVE how fast he called that touchdown for Moss ( the one that got reversed ) when he was clearly juggling the ball all the way to the loss of it when he hit the ground. It was difficult to see on camera but shouldn't have been at his angle. Oh yes, CBS finally showed it after it was all but decided ?????
Offensive line play was iffy as well. To many penalties was my biggest complaint and they hurt real bad a couple times. Gurode false start, Flo holding, Kosier tackling.
Coaching, last but not least. Wade screwed up big time on the fouth down call by kickig the field goal we had momentum. We cram it down their throats in the run game and quit running after that good drive early in the 3rd quarter. I thought we should have stayed with JJ and that same running game, it was working and was giving our defense a much needed rest. They were starting to tire an were exhausted by the end of the game.
But it will get better for us,,, we got some guys coming back that will help and some guys that will get healthier plus our team will get smarter.
WHOLE TEAM more than one piece.

Choosing the whole team (which I did) is not lazy at all. What is lazy is that the secondary can't cover, the offensive line can't stop committing holds, and our receivers can't get set/stop committing false starts. Oh yeah, I'd consider the drops by our WR's a bit lazy too, wouldn't you? So if you think the secondary lost the game for us, then you really aren't thinking hard enough...

We really should have kept with the running game when we had the lead. Marion and Julius were getting huge gains.

I will do a write in.
I vote the coaching staff. Mainly Phillips and Garrett.
Why weren't they running the ball more when they were very successful at it. Ya know, that whole keep the ball out of Tom Brady's hands and eat the clock with the lead thingy. Barber is a beast and Julius was slashing them very nicely. Didn't make much sense to me.
And what about the chicken-sh.t call to kick the fieldgoal down by 10 or 14 (can't remember) with 10 minutes to go? Seems the team completely gave up after that.
Don't get me wrong, I love these guys but I hope being pass happy and gutless don't follow them for the rest of the year.
Some people would say the secondary of course but I think that is a cop out. What do you expect against Brady, Moss, Watson(injured early, I know), Welker and Stallworth. The 2000 Ravens would have problems with those guys.
Penalties Penalties Penalties as well. Yes Kosier tackling their linbacker was retarded since Marion had the first REGARDLESS! We were still in a position to to keep the game in reach if we convert that 4th down into a touchdown instead of a fieldgoal. BAH!

Our running backs combined for 98 yards on just 14 carries, Romo only got sacked twice (one of which was his own fault), and he even said himself that the slow day passing was on the excellent coverage by the Pats. Meanwhile, Tom Brady has a CAREER DAY passing the ball, shredding our DBs with ease. You tell me who played average, and who totally sucked. The difference is absolutely clear. The Pats managed to march the field on us and score points on nearly every possession without barely even running the ball.

If we had Terry Glenn, I'm sure Romo would have had put up about 3 or 4. Brady had all of his weapons. If we had kept the running up, we could have kept Brady off the field. We knew from the first quarter that our defense couldn't hold them, I don't understand what was the point of the quick striking.

you have to account for all of the offensive penalties that negated gains or put us in holes.
